What happens before the first coat goes on is what decides whether it lasts.

The part of the job you never see is the part that lasts.

Anyone can roll paint on a wall. What separates a job that holds for a decade from one that fails in a season happens before the first coat goes on. These three steps happen on every job, in this order.

01 / PREP

Wash, scrape, patch, prime

Surfaces get cleaned and sound before anything else. Bare spots are primed, holes and cracks are filled, and failing paint comes off rather than getting painted over.

02 / PROTECT

Mask it like it is our house

Floors covered, fixtures papered, tape lines run properly. The photos below are ours, and they are the ones most painters would never bother to take.

03 / FINISH

Two coats, then we walk it with you

Full coats, not a stretched single pass. At the end we walk the job with you and fix the list before we pack up, not after you call.

Interior painting

Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and stairwells. Furniture covered, floors papered, edges cut clean. We leave the room ready to live in, not ready for another contractor.

ExteriorWarm taupe

Exterior painting

Stucco, siding, trim, fascia, eaves and garage doors. Wash first, scrape and prime the bare spots, then two coats. Skipping the prep is why the last one failed.

CabinetsSprayed navy

Cabinets and built-ins

Degrease, sand, bonding primer, sprayed finish. It is the cheapest way to make a kitchen look new, and the easiest one to do badly.

StainingCedar

Wood staining and refinishing

Decks, fences, pergolas, front doors and interior trim. Washed and brightened first, then stained in the transparency you actually want.

FloorsEpoxy grey

Floor coatings

Garage, warehouse and shop floors. Ground, patched and coated in the right order so it bonds instead of peeling up in a month.

CommercialCharcoal

Commercial and multi unit

Offices, units and turnovers. We work around your schedule, including nights and weekends, and you get one number to call.

The questions people ask before they call.

Are you actually licensed?

Yes. CSLB license #1096136, classification C-33, Painting and Decorating, current and active, held by Valente Resendiz Murillo, with a $25,000 contractor bond. Look the number up yourself at cslb.ca.gov before you hire anybody, including us.

Who actually does the work?

Our own painters. We do not hand your job to a rotating sub crew, and the person who prices the work is the person running it on site. You will know who is coming before they arrive.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes, and it is a real estimate, not a sales appointment. We come out, measure, talk through what you want, and give you a written price. If you want to think about it, think about it. Nobody is going to sit at your kitchen table waiting for a signature.

What does a job cost?

Needs real numbers This is where the honest price band goes, for example what a typical Bay Area interior repaint or a two story exterior actually runs. Total silence about price reads as expensive, so this should not ship empty.

How long does it take?

Needs real numbers Real timeframes for an interior, an exterior, a cabinet job and a floor coating go here. Guessing at them on a live site is how a contractor ends up apologising for his own website.

Do I have to move my furniture?

No. We move what needs moving, cover what stays, and put it back. Floors get covered before anything gets opened. If something is fragile or valuable, point it out on the walkthrough and we will work around it.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes. Offices, retail, multi unit turnovers and shop floors. We schedule around your hours, including nights and weekends, so the work does not cost you trading time.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Si, hablamos espanol. Call or text either way.

What paint do you use?

Confirm brands Whichever brands and lines are actually specified go here. Homeowners search by brand, so naming them is worth real traffic, and claiming the wrong one is worth a bad first conversation.
